Last night I exchanged emails with the Universal Heartthrob, Austin Idol. Sounds like his book is coming along
nicely. He's already booked for the Charlotte
Fanfest in August, but I'm also getting indications that he might be showing up a lot closer to home. Austin always did leave the fans wanting more.

Things are good here. The 1982 book is coming along nicely. I currently have 48 out of 52 programs for 1982. I've also been able to pick up a few more from 1983 as well.
Remember, if you want to pick up a free signed copy of either of my books, go HERE to find out how.
Finally... Darin D, I do need one of those 1983 programs you have. Please get in touch with me again.

For the past few weeks I have been knee-deep in working on my next 2 books, (MWH Vol 3 & 4). I hope to have one of them out by the end of June and the next out by the end of November (just in
time for Christmas!)
Volume 3 will cover 1982 and have many of the programs from that year. If you bought my last book, (MWH Vol 2), then you already are aware of
how it will look.
I do need some help with both new books, so if you're interested in getting a free, signed copy of each book, click HERE to find out how.

The CAC Reunion was a lot of fun. I got to meet a ton of great people and some wrestlers I grew up watching, (like Nick Bockwinkel, Harley Race and Terry Funk.)
As stated last month, both of my books are now available at Amazon.com to order them.
Click HERE to find them, or just goto Amazon.com and
do a search for "Memphis Wrestling History". My 2 books should come up first

Monday is here and so is the promised interview. The mystery wrestler I mentioned last week is no other than former AWA world heavyweight
champion, Nick Bockwinkel. Click HERE to go to the transcript of the interview.

I can't believe February is already here. The year is off to a quick start.
Something new for me is a blog that I'm writing over at the Memphis Sport magazine's website. Mike Bullard, Memphis Sport's publisher, has been a
big supported of this website and my efforts. Mike told me he'd love for there to be a "Memphis Wrestling" section on his Memphis Sports website. He went on to
asked me about writing regularly about anything to do with "Memphis Wrestling History" and I accepted the offer. There's no set format, so I'll be writing about
whatever pops in my head. From wrestling belts to talking about interviewing old wrestlers, to talking about old matches I remember, I'll try to cover it all.
Just click HERE to go to the "Memphis Wrestling" blog on the Memphis Sport website.
Don't worry. You've got my word that I'll continue to keep updating this website. As an example I'm planning on posting a huge interview next week. Probably the biggest
this website has ever done. Yes Scott Bowden, even bigger than the interview I did with you,(lol).
Without giving it away, each morning I'll post a new clue as to the identity of the wrestler I interviewed.

I've posted a review of the new Mickey Rourke movie, "The Wrestler". Don't read the review if you don't want to know what happens, (because it's filled with
tons of spoilers.) Just click HERE to go to the review page.
If you can't find something you're looking for, use the menu bar at the top ov every page. If it's on my website, it's in my menu.
A recent addition to the website is interviews. The first one i did was with Julien Nitzberg, who is the screewriter to the
new Sputnik Monroe movie. A more recent interview was done with Scott Bowden. Another new thing
I've been trying is online polls If your thing is wrestling belts, I've even got a great
collection of photos.
Before you leave, be sure to give us your feedback on what you think
about the website, or even sign up for our free mailing list. Don't worry,
we keep your email addresses private.

The complete year of 1958 has been added. Click here!
I also wanted to bring to your attention that I add new friends on my links page, so check it often. This week I've added a link to the "Memphis Sport" website. They produce a
local magazine in Memphis. I ran into editor Mike Bullard a few weeks ago and he's a great guy. Mike was responsible for me getting in touch with former Memphis
sportscaster, "Big" Jack Eaton (for my last book, MWH Vol2.) A few months ago, they even did a cover story of the "the King", Jerry Lawler. If you're interested in Memphis
sports, it's a great read.

Just got my new belt. It's the version of the United States Heavyweight Title that was used by Jim Crockett Promotions in the early-to-mid
1980s. Some of the people that held that belt are: Greg Valentine, Roddy Piper, Wahoo McDaniel, Tully Blanchard and Magnum T.A. (Terry Allen).
The belt was made by Dave Millican. After holding the actual US belt in my hands,
this one has exceeded my expectations! If you are a fan of any of the old wrestling belts, I highly recommend getting in touch with Dave about ordering your
favorite old (or new) wrestling belt.
